Company Profile |
Dave Bahl started Weldall in 1973. He acquired a welder through lease/purchase and started working in a rented room less than the size of his office. Since that time, the company has enjoyed continuous growth in size and reputation.
Philosophy
By building on a foundation of quality, reliability, and technology, customers have come to depend on Weldall to provide only the finest in metal fabrication. They are capable of producing work out of a wide variety of alloys, including: carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, monel, and manganese, among others.
Weldall has also adopted a system of Material Identification and computer tracking. A bar code system is used for all raw materials. Bar coding is used for quickly identifying inventory types and all incoming metals are certified by heat numbers. This system of identification and computer tracking creates an error free environment for all shop personnel and ensures the highest level of quality.
Certified by U/L to ISO 9001/2000, Weldall has a philosophy about quality. Everything must be top quality. Their dedication to quality has earned them Certified Supplier Status with major Fortune 500 Companies with ISO 9001 Certification.
Accuracy and quality is a result when technology meets craftsmanship. Weldall's dedication to quality is maintained through AWS D1.1 welding certification of their workforce. Their growing production team operates on two shifts and certified weld inspectors are on site for daily, hourly, or whatever it takes to provide only the finest quality finished fabrications.
Weldall continually raises the bar on what they expect from themselves. They continue to find the best practices and the best technologies to constantly improve.
A New Home
The first actual "home" for Weldall featured 2,500 square feet, with a 1,000 square-foot addition. The company outgrew that place in 15 months. Weldall then subleased part of a 9,600 square foot building. A growing demand for fabricating services kept the company on the move. The site they just left was next - originally it offered 10,500 square feet, but over the years had reached its potential. The new location, 2001 S. Prairie, features 13 3/4 acres. That real estate will absorb future expansions well into the next century. The current square footage is 144,000.
Size isn't all the new location has to offer. The increased space will not only allow work sites ample room for operation and room to fabricate the medium to very large weldments that have become a Weldall specialty, but a greatly facilitated flow will show a pronounced increase in productivity. |
